Official documents and correspondence, ca. 1900-1987. Files relate to service of lay and clergy missionaries of the Lutheran Church in America and its predecessor bodies. Official documents include applications for service, notices of termination, personal data blanks, commissioning documents, debriefing questionnaires and medical reports. Correspondence is praimrily that between commissioning agency and missionary; reports from the field are also included. Newspaper/magazine clippings, biographical data, service records, news releases and commissioning service orders are also included. Arranged alphabetically by surname.
